Sweeney estate Pinot Noir is our Reserve Pinot Noir. The wine is 100% Pommard clone from three of Cherry Hill's best blocks. These three blocks are known as the holy grail of the vineyard and the fruit is cropped to 2 tons per acre and picked at 23 brix. A product of Adams Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, this Pinot is a combination of the vines planted in 1976, 1988, and 2002. The full cherry nose gradually gives way to earthier notes. All of the classic Adams characteristics are present on the palate with cherry, earth and spice predominating. Fine tannins offer a lingering and smooth finish.

The palate is full of raspberry and pomegranate and is followed by a subtle black pepper spice. This is a wine that does well with any grilled foods and is very complimentary with spicier fair.
